Who We Are
PhotoHelp is made by A Secret Company, LLC, headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, USA. Our corporate website is https://asecretcompany.com. You can reach us at support@asecretcompany.com.
This privacy policy applies to the PhotoHelp iOS/macOS application.
Information We Collect
Within the PhotoHelp App
We collect no data. None. Zero.
PhotoHelp does not contain analytics, tracking, telemetry, crash reporting, or any mechanism that sends information from your device to us. We have no servers that receive your data. We do not create user accounts. We do not store your name, email, photos, or any personal information.
All photo scanning, duplicate detection, and file-size analysis happen entirely on your device. Your photos never leave your device except when you explicitly choose to transfer them to or from Google Photos — in which case the data travels directly between your device and Google’s servers, never through ours.
Google Authentication
PhotoHelp supports optional Google Sign-In to enable uploading photos to Google Photos. This authentication is handled entirely by Google’s own Sign-In SDK on your device. The auth tokens are managed and stored by Google’s SDK in your device’s secure storage. We do not access, copy, transmit, or retain your Google credentials or auth tokens on any server. When you sign out, the tokens are fully revoked and removed from your device.
Our Corporate Website
If you visit our website (https://asecretcompany.com) or contact us for support, our website uses Crisp.chat for live support. If you initiate a support conversation, Crisp may process your name, email, and message content to facilitate our response. Please refer to Crisp’s Privacy Policy for details.
Embedded content on our website from other sites (e.g., videos, widgets) behaves as if you visited those sites directly and may use their own cookies and tracking.
Google API Services User Data Policy
PhotoHelp’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We access Google Photos data only to perform actions you explicitly request (uploading photos, browsing your Google Photos library via the Picker API).
- We do not store, cache, or retain your Google Photos data on any server.
- We do not use your Google data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the features you initiate.
- No human at A Secret Company, LLC reads or views your Google data.
- We do not transfer your Google data to any third party.
Who We Share Your Data With
No one.
Since we collect no data from the app, there is nothing to share.
The only exception is if you contact us via our website’s Crisp.chat support widget, in which case Crisp processes your support messages as described above.
We will comply with valid court orders or legal requirements as required by applicable local, state, and federal law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
